General Motors India has registered an increase of 7pc in sales in December 2011 compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 9,039 units in December 2011 as against 8,468 units in December 2010. Chevrolet Beat has been one of the top performers for GM India this month registering sales of 4,796 units. The December 2011 sales of other carlines comprised 1,365 units of Chevrolet Spark, 1,927 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 486 units of Chevrolet Cruze, 227 units of Chevrolet Optra, 191 units of Chevrolet Aveo and 47 units of Chevrolet Captiva respectively. With this, the company has sold 1,11,510 units in 2011 against 1,10,804 units sold in 2010.
